Tektronix Receiver Test Application Software for USB3.1 Gen1 and Gen2 - V7.0.2adminMon, 10/07/2019 - 10:03

USB 3.1 Gen1 and Gen2: Tektronix USB Rx test solution is based upon the procedure described in the USB-IF Compliance Test Specification (CTS). Receiver testing first involves calibrating the set-up as described in the CTS and then proceeding with various tests as laid down in the specification. These tests are accomplished by connecting the BERT pattern generator transmitter to the DUT receiver using fixtures and cables which are specified by USB-IF. The compliance waveform requirements as per specification are met by the Tektronix BERT scope which is capable of producing USB Gen1 and Gen2 test patterns along with random jitter, sinusoidal jitter, signal amplitude, Deemphasis and Preshoot(Gen2 only). Output of the DUT is transmitted back to the error detector through Clock Recovery Unit(CRU) in the BERT receiver to detect errors which can be assumed to have come from the forward path (as a result of the DUT experiencing a bad bit-decision).
